After careful consideration of all the current reporting from the world’s leading health organisations, the Executive Committee of APLAR on 11 July 2020, made the decision to run a virtual only congress for the year 2020.
The APLAR 2020 Virtual Congress will be hosted from 24 – 29 October. The congress will remain a full educational and scientific experience, and will facilitate interactions among physicians, researchers, scientists, clinicians and other health professionals from the Asia Pacific region.
The health and safety of our attendees, partners and communities are of utmost importance, and it is APLAR’s view that full virtual is the best option for the APLAR Congress.
Having extensively consulted with APLAR and JCR stakeholders and partners in advance of making this decision, and with hundreds of abstracts submitted, we are confident that the new dates for the APLAR Congress 2020 will provide the foundations required for another successful congress.
Please note that our Congress Secretariat is reaching out to our invited speakers to re-confirm their availability in October and to highlight program formats.
We are passionate in our belief that APLAR 2020, as the pre-eminent rheumatology congress for regional practitioners and researchers, should remain the catalyst event for our colleagues from across all of Asia Pacific to look forward to – so that we can come together to re-build a post-COVID-19 world!
We very much look forward to welcoming you to a virtual APLAR 2020 in October – and in the meantime, stay strong and healthy.
