  • Khoa Dinh Nguyen is a senior physician and the present Head of the Rheumatology Department of Cho Ray Hospital in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. He currently holds key positions in several professional organisations, notably Vice President of the Ho Chi Minh City Society of Rheumatology and the Deputy Secretary General of the Vietnam Rheumatology Association (VRA). He is also a co-opted member of the Executive Committee of the Asia Pacific League of Associations for Rheumatology (APLAR). With close to 20 years of medical experience, Dr Khoa serves to further medical education as an Associate Professor at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy at Ho Chi Minh City.
    A distinguished researcher, Dr Khoa played active roles in major clinical trials such as a sub-investigator/coordinator in the OSKIRA-Asia-1 study and a site principal investigator in the Rational study. He has received multiple awards, such as the International Fellowship Award in 2006 by the Japanese Rheumatology Association, the Outstanding Researcher Award in 2005 by the New York University School of Medicine as well as the ILAR grant in 2011. He has authored about 40 articles in international and regional peer-reviewed journals including Arthritis & Rheumatism and the British Journal of Rheumatology.
