The field of spondyloarthropathies (SpA) is rapidly progressing and so too is the optimal management of these patients. This scientific symposium, led by a panel of international and local experts, will focus on the clinical management of axial and non-radiographic axial spondyloarthritis and highlight some of the new advances and challenges in this continuously evolving area.
Major themes including optimal patient care from diagnosis through to remission as well as the importance of classification of early disease to allow earlier diagnosis and therapeutic interventions will be discussed. The growing awareness of the needs and challenges of utilizing magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in early diagnosis and to identify those at highest risk for rapid progression and a poorer outcome will also be explored.
